Lipa City, Batangas – July 2025 — Mary Mediatrix Medical Center (MMMC) proudly celebrated its 67th founding anniversary this July with the theme “Beyond Boundaries at 67”, highlighting decades of compassionate care, medical excellence, and community partnerships through a meaningful lineup of events and activities.
The celebration kicked off on July 14 with the opening of the 67th Anniversary Bazaar, which ran until July 31. The bazaar offered a vibrant shopping experience for employees, patients, and visitors. Hospital staff and cooperatives also had the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and business ventures.
On July 19, a commemorative Mass for Dr. Vicente “Manong” L. Magsino, Sr., MMMC’s esteemed founder, was held at the chapel. The holy mass was attended by the Magsino family, President & CEO Mr. Jose Ronaldo De Los Santos, SVP for Operations Mr. Allan Almazar, and other members of the hospital management team, in honor of Dr. Magsino’s legacy and vision.
Health and wellness took center stage on July 21, as the hospital launched Nutrition Month and Diabetes Awareness Week with a dawn assembly at Lillian Magsino Hall. Patients and members of the community were given free diagnostic tests such as blood sugar and uric acid screening. Partner patients also joined a nutrition lecture and an energizing Zumba session. The same day, the 2nd Anniversary of the Breast Center was celebrated at the Cancer Center Mezzanine, in collaboration with the hospital’s Cancer Support Group—a united effort to raise continued awareness on breast cancer and survivorship.
On July 22, MMMC honored its dedicated employees through the Service Awards Ceremony, recognizing team members who have served the institution from 5 to 30 years. With great pride, the hospital acknowledged four exemplary employees who marked 30 years of service—Ms. Brenda Lambio, Ms. Leila Castillo, Ms. Perla Cueto and Ms. Rowena Leyma —lauded for their loyalty, commitment, and unwavering service to the hospital.
The main anniversary day on July 23 began with the 67th Anniversary Mass at the chapel. The celebration continued with the much-anticipated Doctors’ Fellowship Night, held on July 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM—strengthening camaraderie among MMMC’s medical consultants and partners.
The festivities reached a peak on July 25 with the LMC “Pa-Ripa” Grand Draw, distribution of anniversary appreciation gifts, and the crowd favorite—“Rakrakan sa Mediatrix: Battle of the Bands”, held at Lillian Magsino Hall. The event featured spirited performances from six competing teams representing:

Nursing Service Division
Ancillary Services Division
President’s Office and Medical Services
Emerging victorious was the Corporate Administration and HR team (1st Place), followed by Nursing Service Division (2nd Place), and Ancillary Services Division (3rd Place). Winners received cash prizes ranging from ₱5,000 to ₱20,000.
Capping off the week-long celebration was the Dr. Vicente L. Magsino, Sr. Memorial Lecture on July 26, held at Lillian Magsino Hall. The lecture featured Dr. Eduardo Mercado as guest speaker, who delivered insights on primary care, universal health care, and the role of PhilHealth in patient care management—a fitting tribute to the hospital’s mission of lifelong learning and healthcare leadership.
As Mary Mediatrix Medical Center looks ahead to future milestones, this year’s anniversary is a powerful reminder of its continued commitment to “go beyond boundaries” in delivering “Alagang Mediatrix” to the communities it serves.
